Dr. Lindsey Perkins, DVM

Dr. Perkins has a Bachelor’s of Science from Kansas State where she studied Animal Science’s and Industry. She went on to graduate from Kansas State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, Dr. Perkins began her career at a mixed animal practice and then joined the team at Shoal Creek Animal Hospital in 2017. Dr. Perkins enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has special interests in preventative care and gastrointestinal surgery.

Dr. Perkins grew up in Olathe, Kansas. She now lives in the northland with her husband, Tyler, and their two children. She has two female Australian Shepherds, Maelee and Chesney.

In her free time, Dr. Perkins enjoys spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors and baking sourdough bread.

Dr. Adam Bisges, DVM

Dr. Adam Bisges was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2010. He spent an adventurous time in Oregon as a wildland firefighter and also worked outside of Denali National Park in Alaska.

Dr. Bisges graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. To further his training, he spent a year in Tucson, Arizona, completing a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson. His primary clinical interest is in surgery.

When not helping animals in need, Dr. Bisges enjoys traveling out west, fishing, hiking, and spending time with friends, family, and his three beloved dogs.

Dr. Lauren Herd, DVM

Dr. Lauren Herd was born and raised in Wichita, KS. After graduating from high school, Dr. Herd attended the University of Kansas, where she studied biology. Following graduation from the University of Kansas in 2017, she was undecided on a career path and chose to pursue a second bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Kansas State University. During this time, she worked on several hog farms and an Angus ranch. These experiences are where Dr. Herd discovered her true passion for animals, ultimately leading to a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Herd graduated from Kansas State University - College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and began practicing small animal general medicine in Andover, KS. During her first year of practice, her passion for surgery and emergency medicine grew. After nearly two years in general practice, Dr. Herd is excited to embark on a new career in Kansas City, focusing on the aspects of medicine she loves most.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Herd has a special fondness for pitbulls and bully breeds, sharing a home with three dogs—Angus, Pickles, and Clementine—along with two cats, Chips and Queso, all of whom are rescue animals.

Dr. Herd's professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, anesthesia, and pain management. She looks forward to meeting clients and their four-legged family members!
